About The Events

We are very excited to launch Run the Ranch – a brand new challenge event hosted by The Meadows Equestrian Centre our charity partner Action Cancer. A 5km obstacle run perfect for both adrenaline junkies and families alike.  

 

Participants will take on the challenge of ‘running the ranch’ so prepare to ‘get messy at The Meadows’.

 

The course is two laps of a 2.5km route lasting approximately 5km. You can choose to do the 2.5km, the whole 5km or just keep going until you drop!  

 

With a series of 25 obstacles to get over, under or across – get ready to wade through the water jump, sprint over the seesaws and limber over the log. You will be rocking and rolling your way over all the different hurdles with lots of variety from rustic hay bales to climb and ladders to race across. 

There will be a wide range of obstacles which will vary in difficulty but the course is definitely suitable for active children as well as adults (with parental assistance where required). Trickier obstacles will be manned by staff or volunteers. The course is set up around the 3 sand arenas which means it is spongey and bouncy on foot but the wetter & messier you get the more of a challenge it is! Part of the run will be on gravel and part on a cross country terrain with loose chippings.
